Once I got going with drawing, I got excited and decided to try more. In October last year, in art class, I was still working on my sculpture, so the only drawing I was doing was at home. I had finished my drawing of the river, and wanted to experiment a little with the various drawing tools I had recently purchased. I figured I would try some other drawing mediums - chalk, charcoal, and various pencils (not just the mechanical pencil I used for my river drawing). So, I tried drawing leaves. I tried a few different styles. It was good practice, and a good reminder that I don't always have to complete a full drawing - I can do "studies" as well. These are the leaves I drew:
